Hello,
I’m Mónica. My passion for art began at the University of Barcelona, where I studied Fine
Arts. Later, I continued my drawing studies at the Académie Royale des
Beaux-Arts in Brussels (Belgium).
My love for jewelry was born during a trip through Italy—a country I fell
deeply in love with because of its rich jewelry tradition. That journey became
a turning point that led me to train first as a gemologist at the University of
Barcelona, and later as a jeweler at the Llotja School of Art and Design.
Throughout this journey, I fused my background in Fine Arts with the world of
jewelry. SOMNI began to take shape when my collages and drawings became sources
of inspiration. From them emerged a series of brooches that, without realizing
it, led me into the world of men’s jewelry.
Little by little, the pieces began to take on a life of their own, eventually
becoming Somni Jewelry—a space where each creation expresses my passion for art
and jewelry, crafting unique moments filled with emotion.
I invite you to step into this creative universe and enjoy each moment of
inspiration as much as I do.

“The
Landscape” is a collection inspired by the colors and textures that shaped my
childhood. Through collage, copper, and wood, I revisit that landscape,
transforming it into jewelry that tells my story.
To create these pieces, I begin with collage, letting the emerging shapes guide
me to the metal sheet, where I delicately cut each shape by hand using a
jeweler’s saw.
Collage is an intuitive path of exploration, a way to investigate concepts such
as rhythm, composition, volume, and line. At the same time, it connects me with
the dry, solid land of Terrer, the village in the province of Zaragoza where I
grew up.
This
dream begins with a new idea: to create jewelry for those who, whether artists
or not, in one way or another, want to change the world.
This is my small tribute.
